With broad experience in architecture, including management of design and production departments, Rick’s portfolio includes designs for private and government clients with expertise in design for animal care facilities, transportation, and emergency services. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has additional education in ADA compliance design, roofing systems, design/build project management and mediation. Specific to design for animal care facilities, Rick is certified in Fear Free design for veterinary and animal shelter environments. Rick is also an internationally recognized animal shelter design consultant, serves as an animal care facility design workshop leader and writes frequently about design for animal care industry publications. Rick is a licensed architect in multiple states and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
